The photographer held his camera a wee bit crocked but the doors were installed plumb.

Here's a shot ot the doors from inside. They were purchased in memory of Audrey's mother. They are BEAUTIFUL!

We are currently installing a geothermal heating system
in the Church.
Work commenced April 11, 2011.
Here's a few shots of what it looked like prior to
starting the project.

Getting ready to raise the drilling rig for the sixth and final hole.

April 13, 2011 they started drilling hole #6 the final hole.

The upstairs closet in Marlene's classroom will become the trunkline for the system.

There will be 6 holes drilled for the system

The soil as it's being blown away from the drilling machine.

Ozzie is keeping close track of them as they drill hole number 3.

This is where the current heating system is located.

These three pictures of room will begin looking differently before long.

The kids and adults Sunday School classrooms will be having a major changeover.

If I'm not mistaken, the unit is completely installed awaiting the
electrical and well hookup which will be completed shortly.

The unit has been delivered and the interior is undergoing some demolition for easier access to electrical. There has also been
an access stairway installed to the attic area upstairs. All exterior plumbing has been connected and run to the outside wall.

Ceilings have been removed, unit set in temporary position, and duct laying around.

Holes all dug and pipes all connected and trenches backfilled.

The geothermal unit is fully
functional as of today.
Here's a shot.

Today, 8/16/2011, the wall that will separate the furnace
room from the adjoining classroom was completed.

This shot is taken from the new wall toward the Fellowship Hall.

Looking toward the new wall, hopefully someone will get this completed so it can be painted. Wonder who needs to get this done.

The ceilings have been completed in both the Classrooms and kitchen area. Looks pretty good don't ya think?

Work was completed in the Classroom. It has
been painted and new baseboard put down.
LOOKS GREAT DONNIE AND GEORGE!

The Fellowship Class sponsored a lunch following the Church Service,
September 11 2011, proceeds went to the Building Fund. There was
$2713.00 raised. A special THANKS to all who attended and gave.

September 19, 2011
Work was started in the Sanctuary,
getting ready for the new carpeting. Floor
registers need removal and hole filled.

Now this one, as you can see by the sides bent in, we kinda tore apart to see what we had to do to place flooring in these spots.

This is what the one cold air return looked like prior to us doing anything.

Yup! You guessed it, this is the other one.

October 4th and 5th, 2011
Work continues. The registers have all been removed and covered.
These areas require additional work as the floors surrounding need
to be leveled so they don't show through the new carpeting.

Here's a shot of the Sanctuary with the new carpeting installed.
There is still carpeting to be installed in the wings, hallways,
Classrooms, and Pastor's Office. It's looking good.

Here's a few shots of their progress with the carpeting. Come see it for yourself.

This is taken from the first Classroom toward the door leading to the basement.

This is taken from the same area but looking toward Pastors Office and the Nursery.

Here's a shot of the hallway from the Sanctuary to the Classrooms, restrooms, and Pastors Office.

Here one can see the seam that will be completed. There also is part of the Choir loft that has carpeting.

The Sanctuary it's self appears to be done, although the overflow rooms and Sanctuary seams are not.

When I went to Bible Study tonight, I checked back to see what progress had been made during the day.
As the pictures reveal, there was even more progress made during Bible Study. Matter of fact, they were
heading back to the store to get another roll of carpeting. I understand they are planning on being done Friday.

The Choir Loft now has the new carpeting in place, granted it isn't fully installed but it's laying there.

Looks MIGHTY fine from the back of the Sanctuary.

The area in front of these doors is without carpeting when I took pictures before Bible Study.

Marlenes Classroom has had the old carpeting removed, well most of it.

Hallways are now fully covered with new carpeting.

The Nursery still has the old carpeting.

Pastors Office still has the old carpeting. Looks as if it is somewhat of a storage room also.

Now the area in front of the doors has carpeting which it didn't have earlier.

I'm pretty sure
there will likely
be a MAJOR
cleanup day
scheduled for
Saturday.
Call for details.

I was over to the Church around 11:00 this morning and it is appearing as
if the carpeting will indeed be installed today.
Now we'll hope many will show up tomorrow to do the required cleaning.

There was a very good turn out today for cleaning the Sanctuary, Classrooms, and Pastors Office.
I won't begin to name names but I believe there were between 10-12 folks helping.
You'll see we had some rather unlikely assistance.

Dave Maynard did a LOT of sweeping. I will mention his name. Thanks Dave!

Now here, things had turned into Government work, two working and everyone else watching.

You can see I wasn't
working, just taking
pictures.
