One thing Pastor likes are these Cheeto's. Problem was, he didn't have enough to share with the Congreation.
Oh boy, I wonder what he's up to now?

Pastor gets down to the kids level maybe not thinking he's sometime or other gonna have to get back up.
Pastor's question to the kids, and us, was who are you following as a guide in this New Year?
He showed them a picture of Jesus and said he was an aspiring artist. He then started to trace the picture. Some of the kids said that was cheating. But he was really following.

Pastors message to the kids this morning dealt with Baptism.
When I saw the bucket of water on the altar, I was somewhat afraid of what Pastor was going to get himself into today.
He asked for a volunteer and chose this young man. Doesn't he look really excited to be the lucky one?
Pastor asked him to hold out/up his hand and suggested he roll his sleeves up a bit. He then proceeded to wrap his hand with toilet tissue.
After getting it pretty well wrapped up he asked the kids to tell him what Baptism stood for. He got some pretty good answers. He told them Baptism doesn't really do anything for us it just shows something.
He said the tissue stood for our sins that Jesus died to save us from. He then had his reluctant volunteer place his hand in the water bucket for 20 seconds.
He then kinda danced around while the kids counted. I didn't get the picture of when he had him pull out his hand and spread his fingers. You know what happened, the tissue paper totally fell apart and came off just like when we get Saved Jesus washes away our sins.

========================================================================================================================================================================================================================================
Pastors lesson this morning dealt with talking about others. He used the old whisper in ones ear and pass it on trick. Problem was the first young man
didn't clearly understand what Pastor told him so you can guess the out come.

Pastors message to the kids and us dealt with Joy and Happiness.
Pastor came out carrying a tank of Helium. Hmmmm! I was too busy getting involved and forgot to take pictures. Shame on me.
He blew up one balloon and it fell to the floor. This is like Happiness, there for a while but falls to the floor. Joy is like the Helium that fills us up and we are floating.
Buttons showed Pastor her pink diamond. That was something that made her happy.
Needless to say, someone mentioned Helium was meant to be inhaled so Pastor did so. Again, I was too engrossed to get a picture of
him holding up the tank and taking a hit.  During his Prayer with the kids he mentioned it didn't matter to God what our voice sounds
like, just that we Praise Him and talk with Him.

Todays message to the kids and us dealt with being one. When I saw
handcuffs on the alter I figured we were in for some Trouble. <Grin>
He started out by asking us, could we all be one? He then proceded using the handcuffs.
Pastor called up three volunteers. He said, I want you, you, and you!
He put Andrew in the center flanked by Steven on his left, and Chase on his right.
It didn't work out exactly right but we all got the picture. We are all one with God.
Take a close look at the following pictures
and see if you see anything unusual.
Rather than tell you what is different, I'll challenge you to call someone
and ask what was going on this morning. How's that for outreach?
I'm sooo bad!
He asked if anyone had heard the saying, "Sticks and stones will break
my bones but names will never hurt me."
He gave the kids rolled up socks, he said they were clean, and stepped up the isle and had them throw the socks at him.
What fun! He then hid behind a piece of plastic with GOD written on it and had the again throw the socks at him. I didn't get a picture of him without his protection.
When we have GOD on our side we don't get hit by the socks of life. As you can see some of the congregation got involved also.

Today, Pastors message was once again a graphic illustration.
He had Michelle come and he put a plastic yellow table cloth on her.
He then had her stand front and center.
He then gave her what appeared to be a dark yellow beak.
He then had 5 of the kids come up and pretend to be her chicks because it was a yellow beak.
He then procedded to read a poem about the chicks one by one not coming back home.
At the end of the poem the mother hen went out and did her cluck cluck and came home with all her chicks. God gathers us under His wings and protects us. If we allow Him.
========================================================================================================================================================================================================================================
Today, Pastors message was once again a graphic illustration.
He wanted a volunteer, a strong one at that, to come up.
Pastor had a strip of electrical tape on the floor. He then had Sebastian hold out his arms and walk the line. Then Pastor had the kids keep adding hymnals to each hand. He told them the hymnals represent our sins. As you can imagine it was harder and harder to hold up the books and still walk the line.

Buttons saved the day! Come to find out all that was in the bowl was ice cubes.
After the rest of the kids found out that was all that was in there, they all wanted in on the fun.
Meanwhile all their hands were getting colder by the minute.
He then gave each a warm towel to warm up their hands.
Pastor had a hard time to get any volunteers this morning.
He kept asking and finally Buttons came up to help him.
They seemed reluctant because he wanted them to place their
arm into the bowl he was holding. Oh, ye of little Faith.
Pastor asked how else can we get warm.
Of course Pastor was looking and received the answer,
GODS LOVE!

Pastor started out with a jump rope. We thought he
was going to show us how coordinated he was.
Fortunately he didn't.

May 23, 2010
Today was Pentecost Sunday. Pastor started out
by lighting a candle. We figured we were in trouble
as John, our insurance man, wasn't there. Pastor
was about to enlighten us.
November 7, 2010
sin was. He had numerous suggestions. He went on to explain that we were like the
balloons he'd blown up. Sin was represented by a candle he'd lit. When he held a
balloon over the candle they of course exploded. Then he pulled out a balloon filled
with water, he held the balloon over the candle it didn't explode and he ended up
putting out the candle with the balloon filled with water.

Today Pastor did a very good job of confusing himself, the kids, and everyone else.
He started out by grouping the kids by color of shirt, pre-schoolers well you get the
groups. Finally he grouped them by, 'Do you have or are you a brother or sister?'
Now he had them ALL in one group. He then tied them together with toilet tissue. He
was even able to get some brothers and sisters from the congregation to join in.
Pastor pointed out that we are ALL ONE BIG FAMILY with God and Jesus.
Thanks for the pictures Dawn, I once again forgot my camera.
========================================================================================================================================================================================================================================
To start out, Pastor had the boys sit on the floor and give the girls a place to sit on
the pew. Then he asked the kids what were they were thankful for. Initially he didn't
get much response but when he started making suggestions they really got into it.
Some said their brother, others said school (which brought kind of a snort from
Andrew.) Other things brought up were parents, God, Jesus, Church, among other
things.
Pastor held up a Cornucopia and asked if anyone knew what it was. He then went on to explain what it was and how it was used.
Pastor didn't have a lot of kids today but they had fun anyhow and learned
something besides. He started out and asked them to close their eyes and open
their mouths wide. He assured them he wasn't going to pour water on them or
anything like that. His experiment was kinda like God giving us a burst of excitement
like the pop rocks did to them.
He only had three daring souls, some more reluctant than others. Adam was one of the ruluctant ones.
He did finally relent and close his eyes. Others required some help from the older kids.
Miss Claire was one who was given some assistance in keeping her eyes closed by hands over her eyes.
Pastor asked what their favorite flavor was. I believe there were two grape and one orange. He then proceeded to place flavored straw thingys in their mouths.
Josh was quite trusting through the whole thing. You da man Josh.
He then cam back and put the same flavor of those pop rocks in their mouths.
He then asked which they liked best, the candy with the burst of flavor or the rather plain one.
Most of the kids liked the one with the BURST of flavor.
Today, 6/12/2011, was Pentecost Sunday. Pastor's
Sermon to the kids was of course connected to the "Sound
of the Mighty Rushing Wind." He asked if they could hear
or see the wind. As you can guess he got many answers.
He had quite an assembly of items for them on the alter
this morning.

Pastor's Message to the kids today dealt with, "What makes you happy?"
Initially he didn't get many responses but eventually . . . . . . . . ....
Here's Pastor once again getting down to the Kid's level. When he does that I'm thinking about my getting back up if in that position.
Another thing Pastor like was bubbles. I wasn't lucky to catch any pictures of the bubbles.
Here's he's down and chatting with the Kids.
The Kids are listen very intently. Some even have their arms folded as Pastor had. Others are trying to help him blow bubbles I think.

Pastor's Message to US today dealt with, "
DISTRACTIONS!"
What things do we allow to distract us from God?

You'll see by the ending of this video, I gotta learn how to edit them or
use the camera correctly. Please bear with me, I'm learning.
September 11, 2011
Pastors message this morning centered around a remote control. He
asked if the kids knew what he had and how many they had around
their homes. His theme was, "Who's in
control of our lives?"
August 28, 2011
I'm trying something different even yet. We'll try doing it this way,
maybe it'll work better/faster. To view today's Kids Sermon,

Pastor, or should I say Claire, led the kids on a treasure hunt. Pastor
had a treasure map that either wasn't top notch or Claire had problems
reading it as they went ALL OVER. They found the treasure on the pulpit
with a
BIG X on it.
It was The Bible. Let's face it, there are many TREASURES found there.
Pastors message to us today dealt with trying to hide things from
someone. How many of try to
hide things? I won't try to hide the fact
that the camera man goofed. He didn't get the whole Sermon but did
get the biggest part. Don't y'all just love the part where someones
cell started ringing and the Kids and Pastor started kinda dancing a
little jig?
Here are the items Pastor had displayed on the Alter this morning. He had white out, room deodorizer, incense, after shave, a candle, and a cardboard box.
October 2, 2011
I forgot to get a still picture of Pastors props for todays message.
He had a
Cross and some pieces of twine.
I'll just allow you to view the message to get the way things turned out.
October 9, 2011
Once again, I forgot to get a still picture of Pastors props for todays
message. But then he didn't have any other than the Fellowship Hall.
He asked the kids, "Where is God?" Of course he got many answers.
The kids were quite talkative today. I goofed again and ended up with
two videos You can view each here.
Part I
Part II

Pastors message to the kids today centered around a rather unusual
question.
You can watch the
video here to find out what the question was.
Today's Message dealt with us putting forth some effort and not
expecting someone else to do everything. He used a pair of work gloves
in his Sermon. Listen and learn
December 18, 2011
Pastor's message to us today was centered, of course, around
Christmas. You will find he put a different twist on it though as the
picture below shows.
Here's the link to the video on
YouTube.

Pastor's message to us today was centered, of course, around
Christmas. You'll have to watch the video as he'd said he wanted us to
"Come As You Are, even if you're in your PJ's." There were some that
did just that. If you look closely you should see them in the
congregation. The video is once again posted on
YouTube.
January 22, 2012
Pastor asked the Kids who they came to Church to see today.
He quickly received the correct response. The Kids are learning,
do you suppose us adults will learn as quickly?
The video is once again posted on
YouTube.

Pastor and Kim were in the Caribbean on a cruise today. Praying God
sends them back rested and ready.
Marvin Bachtel was the Morning speaker.
He asked the kids,"
What is Prayer?" Listen and learn what they had to
say.
Camera didn't mess up today so I'm hoping it stays that way.

Pastors message to us today required some unusual props. I guess

Pastors message to us today
concerned Christs Resuraction so many
years ago yet He is still
ALIVE and WELL in our Hearts.
This picture has nothing to do with his Sermon but Ben had something
Pastor wanted to check out.
